Physical Education
At Mere Brow CE Primary School we encourage our children to have an active involvement in their education. Children receive weekly lessons from West Lancashire Sports Partnership focussing on different aspects of the curriculum each term. Children from year 3 to year 5 also receive weekly swimming lessons led by professional coaches for half the year. All children at school also participate in a weekly Forest Schools session throughout the year. We offer all children the chance to represent school at external sporting events and last year we received an award for our inclusive approach to PE in schools - awarded by Endeavour Learning Trust. Our PTA recently raised the money to provide our school with a new interactive play area which our children use at playtimes.
