The Governors are parents, teachers and members of the community who are interested in the delivery of education for your children. They feel that they can contribute to providing the best education for the pupils.
We meet as a Full Governing Body' twice a term and work closely with the Senior Management Team on all issues relating to the functions of the school
There is 1 committee which each Governor is a member of and we look at:
Standards and Achievement
We deal with the different curricula within the school that affect your child' learning. Extra curricula activities, attendance, trips and progress reports are also discussed.
Resources, Health & Safety
Dealing with the financial aspects of the school and with any problems within and outside the school that could cause an injury to your child. Building work and any other safety issues that have arisen from parents, staff and children.
The Governing body meets twice every term.
The Governing Body has a Link Governor whose role is to liaise with Governor Services at County Hall in order to provide up to date information on courses and material available to Governors to equip them to carry out their duties effectively. Governors are encouraged to attend relevant courses and complete on-line training, which can be easily accessed from your own home.
