Fairtrade

At school we already use Fairtrade tea and coffee in the staff room, and we intend to make a Pledge of Commitment to Fairtrade in the near future. It's something worth exploring, and lots of people (in this part of the world) doing a little really does make a huge difference to the quality of life for those in less fortunate situations. The philosopher Edmund Burke (author of the words 'The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing') also said:

 

'Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.'
